Stoos Ridge Hike

From the summit of Klingenstock, reached by chairlift from the car-free village of Stoos, a narrow path follows the ridge west toward Rot Turm and Nollen. Ten Swiss lakes lie scattered across the view below, the Vierwaldstättersee closest and largest among them, with the twin peaks of the Mythen rising to the south and the Riemenstalden valley falling away to the north.

The trail continues past Huserstock and drops in tight switchbacks to the Furggeli, where sections are cut into bare rock and secured with chains. A steep final climb leads to Fronalpstock, at 1,921 metres, where the terrace of the canton's highest restaurant offers space to rest before a second chairlift carries walkers back down to Stoos.
